Description
The MX-Leader was one of the strongest steel frames, Eddy Merckx developed in the 1990s. The oversized and specially shaped Columbus MAX tubes were fitted into evenly strong oversized lugs.
This construction made the frame slightly heavier, but boy did it ride well! The frame is legendary for its power transfer, its comfort and safe handling characteristics.
Cornering, sprinting, rapid descents - the MX Leader mastered all disciplines brilliantly.
So good are its riding qualities that many people believe it is the single best-lugged steel racing frame ever made.
We are happy to present to you this Eddy Merckx MX-Leader from the 1990s. It is still sporting its original Team Telekom paint scheme and beautifully chromed chainstay.
When it comes to equipment, our Merckx bike has some aces up its sleeve. It is nothing less than the Campagnolo Record gruppo and a Cinelli cockpit.

Condition
Used. The bicycle is in great condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork is original with some normal signs of usage such as a few paint chips and scratches The decals are original too. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! Parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones. You can expect the bicycle in fantastic riding condition and ready to go for your vintage bike ride.Bicycle Size
