From the factory to the starting line and vice-versa. This is what always distinguished the brand established by Francesco Moser. The know-how learnt in professional competitions helped the former Italian cyclist and his brothers to produce some of the finest racing bicycles of their time.
Apart from the coutless triuphs on road Moser also excelled on track. One of the defining moments of his career was undoubtedly setting the new world hour record in 1984. It was on the same track in Mexico City where Eddy Merckx set the previous one some 12 years earlier. And so there is no surprise, that the brand laid emphasis on track and time trial bikes.
Alongside the iconic Va Por La Hora was offered the Krono model. This very rare bike featured an elegantly bent seat tube and off course the special geometry which allowed for an aggressive riding position. The lugged steel frameset was expertly made of the ML25 tubes from Oria, the company of choice for almost all top level Moser bikes of that era.
Our exemplar sports the typical signal pink paintjob which is in exceptionally nice condition. Regarding the components it is equipped with Campagnolo Chorus groupset and off course the disc rear wheel, ITM bullhorn bars or the vintage Vetta leather saddle. And as a cherry on this tasty pink cake is the original Moser water bottle!
Condition
Used. The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks and is not bent. The paintwork is original with some minor signs of usage like small scratches and abrasions. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones. You can expect the bicycle in fantastic riding condition and ready to go for your vintage bike ride.Bicycle Size
