Description
Grandis is one of those traditional Italian brands which are still producing innovative road bikes in Italy to this day. In 1965 Grandis started to produce and sell high-end bicycles. His brand was known for its technical brilliance right from the start and his bikes found him some real fame among cycling enthusiasts.
Our bicycle is a nice example of a 1970s Grandis Giro. Made of light Columbus SL teel tubes, this certainly is a high-end frame. The lugs are beautifully filed down and there is the typical Grandis arc brake bridge too. Dropouts are from Campagnolo. Our example has fittingly been equipped with a Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset.
The bicycle is set up for the perfect Eroica experience;
-Puncture resistant, Continental Gatorskin tyres 28mm.
-Clincher rims, easy to change the inner tube in case of a puncture.
-Rear cassette with 28 teeth, perfect for climbing hills.
-Padded handlebar tape, comfortable over long distances.
-Mounted bottle cage.
-Caged pedals.
Condition
The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork and decals are all original. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones. You can expect the bicycle in fantastic riding condition and ready to go for your vintage bike ride.Bicycle Size
