Description
Grazzini company is proud of it's more than 90 years long heritage based in and around the city of Milan. The brand is named after Azeglio Grazzini, a professor in the Feltrinelli Technical Institute. in 1929 he started a business specialized in photography developement and he produced some of the first needed equipment.
After the war, Enrico Protti took over the bussines as the former employee. As a gratitude for his boss and also teacher, he kept the name which still lives on today. In 1979 Enrico's son Tiziano continued, but as a passionate cyclist changed the subject of the manufacturing completely. The company had a huge expertise of working with metal and thus it was possible to quickly gain experience when it came to building frames.
This Grazzini Pista from the 1980s is a proof, that they have learnt a lot. It is a nice and simple frame, where all the details are precisely made with care. Very difficult to see with naked eye is one refinement of this frame. When you touch the tubes in the main triangle, it is easy to spot that they are slightly ovalized or better said of teardrop cross section. The chromed front fork and pista dropouts give the bike a touch of elegance. As for the parts, it is equipped with Gipiemme components throughout with Nisi rims, 3ttt cockpit and brand new Tufo handmade tyres. And there is one more thing which needs to be said. It is huge. So if you are a very tall rider, this one in size 66 (please, check the measurements) might fit you perfectly.
Condition
Used. The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork has been professionally refurbished. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones.
