Hetchins is one of the most iconic British cycling brands. The carved lugs and ‘curly’ stays are characteristic of Hetchins frames, that are truly iconic.
The thinking was that if curved forks absorbed vibrations, then why couldn’t the same physics be applied to the rear? The ornamental lugs are also not just for decoration, the extra contact area makes for a stronger joint.

Condition
Used. The bicycle is in very good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork and decals are all original with some signs of use. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! Parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones.
