Behind the company Krabo is former national team cyclist Günter Krautscheid. After finishing his cycling career, the trained locksmith and welder founded a cycling shop in 1977, producing around 80 custom frames per year.
From the first glimpse the top craftsmanship is easy to see. The frameset is adorned with high quality details such as the guidance of the brake cable in the top tube which is visually, as well as technically sleek. The long draw fork blades and the customised Cinelli bottom bracket shell shout class. But this bike does not only have a beautiful frameset. It also comes with one of the most desirable groupsets of cycling history: The Campagnolo 50th anniversary groupset
To celebrate their 50th anniversary, Campagnolo released an initial number of 5.000 pieces of this extraordinary groupset. In the production, they made excessive use of titanium and golden emblems. And every groupset got it's very own number engraved.
Number one went straight to Campagnolo's own museum. Number two was presented to the pope. In the meantime, Campagnolo began to produce more of the sought-after anniversary groupsets to meet the expectations of the market. They just stopped when the number of 15.000 groupsets was achieved.
Condition
used. The bicycle is in great condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork and decals are all original in perfect condition. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones.
