In road cycling, pretty much everyone knows Look. This French company started its fruitful history a long time ago in 1951. Its founder and passionate skier Jean Beyl once broke his leg coming down a steep slope. Naturally, he blamed the rigid foot-to-ski connection for the torn meniscus and eventually changed sports history. Some years after he developed the first safety ski bindings, a technology which later revolutionized road cycling.
The Look 555 is built using Look’s tube-to-tube construction. The frame features an oversized design connecting to an oversized bottom bracket. The rear triangle features emphasize vertical compliance, and Look’s popular HSC4 fork is up front to handle stability and steering. Each section of the frame illustrates that Look was going for comfort and stability with the 555 and the use of tube-to-tube construction allowed them to avoid the increased cost of more expensive (lugs or monocoque) methods.

Condition
Used. The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork and decals are all original. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones.
