Description
The French company Look was founded in 1951 by Jean Beyl. After a skiing accident, he developed the first safety ski bindings. An invention that truly changed the world of skiing and a technology which when implemented into pedals revolutionized road cycling.
In the late 80s, the company had developed from making pedals to top level carbon composite frames Look has always gone its own innovative ways and has never followed standards and laws in frame construction. The Look KG86 Bernard Hinault offered here dates back to 1986 and was the first carbon-kevlar frame that Look produced in series in co-operation with TVT. The carbon-kevlar tubes are bonded together with aluminium lugs and it has a Vitus aluminium fork.
The bike is fitted with the Shimano Dura Ace groupset just as Jean-François Bernard rode with Team Toshiba.
Condition
used.. The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork and decals are all original. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones.
