Description

Giovanni (Vanni) Losa was an expert frame builder from Vittuone (close to Milan) who is responsible for some of the finest classic steel frames around. He mostly built frames as a contractor for other famous companies. Among his works are several frames for Cinelli (including the Super Corsa from the 1990s until 2008), and Magni. Many of his bikes are easily recognisable from the refined triangular engravings with a "V" shape (from his nickname Vanni) on the lugs - a particularity of most Losa frames.

When Losa made a bike that was named after him it always was an extra special piece of artisan frame building and ours is no exception. Our Losa Winner Air is a custom-made masterpiece. The tubing of the main triangle has been drawn into star shapes, which enhances the rigidity of the frameset. The rear braking cable actually runs in the top grove of the star-shaped tubing.

The rear triangle and front lugs have been chromed, which adds extra dazzle to this artisan piece. This frameset was certainly made for speed which is apparent from the aero fork! When making a frameset for speed and performance, top components need to be equipped and that is exactly what has been fitted here. It is equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record groupset which was simply the best of gruppo of its time.

Condition

Used.   The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork is original with some normal signs of usage such as a few paint chips and scratches The decals are original too. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! Parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones. You can expect the bicycle in fantastic riding condition and ready to go for your vintage bike ride.

SVB quality and attention to detail is second to none! Fantastic customer service, very accommodating and helpful. An error was made in delivery and the SVB team efficiently sorted the problem the same day. I was gifted the original item and sent a brand new item, dispatched the same day. Lovely products and very helpful staff. 5*

Just bought a second vintage classic bike from Steel Vintage. A great bike at an excellent price and they couldn't have been more helpful. Their fantastic service was every bit as good as before.
Placed the on-line order late on Saturday evening and the bike was delivered to me here in the UK the following Thursday morning.

Geeky Eroica Cool. I bought the "old-school" Italian made bike shoes. They were delivered in good condition and in a quick timely fashion. They're geeky cool, just like I hoped and they're put together very well (stitched nicely, no glues where it shouldn't be) light and fit properly!

Steel Vintage Bikes are such an excellent company to deal with. They are passionate about vintage steel bikes. They have in my opinion very fair prices and very obliging to deal with. Packaging is great and no hassle even for delivery way down here in New Zealand.

The overall service provided by Steel Vintage Bikes is always first rate. Delivery and packaging is always timely and well done. I cannot fault Steel Vintage and have been a customer for a number of years.. Plan to get to Berlin hopefully in the near future, stop in for a some Kaffee und Kirchen and a bike geek mooch around the shop.
