Description

Certainly, one of the most typical classic bicycles you will find in many serious collections: the Alberto Masi Prestige is a true masterpiece by the famous Officina from Milan. Produced between 1975 and the late 1980s, the Prestige is a sought-after piece of cycling history. It was the first model, Alberto Masi designed on his own. It was meant to be a slightly modernised version of the Gran Criterium which was his father Faliero's signature bike.

This exemplar dates back to the late 1970s and it has been refurbished in an elegant champagne colour. The frameset is most likely made of Columbus tubes (Masi never disclosed which tubes he actually used to manufacture his frames). It shows many refined details and perfectly fine lugging, very typical for each Masi bicycle. Very interesting are the seat stay caps with two separate slots, rarely seen on Masi bikes.

This superb frame is married to a legendary groupset - the Campagnolo Nuovo Record. Together they are a perfect match and a terrific classic. The equipment is then completed with fine parts like Martano rimsand a MAsi pantographed 3tt stem.

The bike has been thoroughly checked and is now ready for anything. Eroica? No problem! Long distance touring? Sure! Riding to the gelateria for some fine ice cream? Be ready to turn some heads!

Condition

Used.   The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones. You can expect the bicycle in fantastic riding condition and ready to go for your vintage bike ride.

SVB quality and attention to detail is second to none! Fantastic customer service, very accommodating and helpful. An error was made in delivery and the SVB team efficiently sorted the problem the same day. I was gifted the original item and sent a brand new item, dispatched the same day. Lovely products and very helpful staff. 5*

Just bought a second vintage classic bike from Steel Vintage. A great bike at an excellent price and they couldn't have been more helpful. Their fantastic service was every bit as good as before.
Placed the on-line order late on Saturday evening and the bike was delivered to me here in the UK the following Thursday morning.

Geeky Eroica Cool. I bought the "old-school" Italian made bike shoes. They were delivered in good condition and in a quick timely fashion. They're geeky cool, just like I hoped and they're put together very well (stitched nicely, no glues where it shouldn't be) light and fit properly!

Steel Vintage Bikes are such an excellent company to deal with. They are passionate about vintage steel bikes. They have in my opinion very fair prices and very obliging to deal with. Packaging is great and no hassle even for delivery way down here in New Zealand.

The overall service provided by Steel Vintage Bikes is always first rate. Delivery and packaging is always timely and well done. I cannot fault Steel Vintage and have been a customer for a number of years.. Plan to get to Berlin hopefully in the near future, stop in for a some Kaffee und Kirchen and a bike geek mooch around the shop.
