Description
When the mountain bike wave swept over from the US to Europe in the 1980s, Colnago was - after Cinelli - one of the first companies to adapt to the situation. Akin to their approach on road bikes, their cross-country bikes were designed to be up in the top class.
This Colnago Maxim is made from Colnago proprietary tubing that is ovalised at both the head tube and bottom bracket, possibly made by Tange.
Its components are Shimano Exage 400lx parts which will ensure great functionality for many years, notably there are an array of Colnago-specific parts, such as the seat post and headset. This party piece has been coated in an eye-catching red paint job which won't leave one's head unturned.
For Colnago lovers, for vintage MTB aficionados and for those who like something a bit more special.

Used. Used. Used. The bicycle is in very good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full check up at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! Parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and wearing parts were replaced with new ones.
