Description
Sante Pogliaghi is undoubtedly one of the best Italian frame builders, many champions such as Eddy Merckx and countless others champions rode with his frames. The frame builder from Milan was well known for his skills in building customised steel frames. In spite of the fact that he mainly built track frames and tandems, Pogliaghi´s frames were also highly esteemed among road racers.
He is considered the grandfather of modern road bike design, he was the inspiration for likes of Colnago or Pinarello. The attention to detail is second to none, just have a look at the seat stays. Our Pogliaghi Italcorse is equipped with a Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset.
Condition
The bicycle is in good condition. The frame has no cracks, no dents and is not bent. The paintwork and decals are all original. All parts have been checked and are working fine. The bicycle went through a full checkup at Steel Vintage Bikes workshop! All parts were disassembled, cleaned and re-assembled again. The frame was checked for structural integrity and all wearing parts were replaced with new ones.
