Description
SAB bicycles were founded in 1990 and as it is often the case by Italian brands, its backgound goes deep into history. The founder, Mario Vicini Jr. is the son of the famous cycling legend Mario Vicini, runner up in 1937 Tour de France, multiple grand tour stage winner and Italian champion. Needless to say than that the passion for cycling was circulating inside the family. That showed not just by Vicini bikes but later also by SAB.
SAB became popular in Italy for custom service and were providing multiple smaller amateur teams with their bikes. In early 2000s they step into the professional ranks with team Amore & Vita or Naturino.
Our SAB time trial racing bike is one of those specifically made for a racing rider. The monocoque carbon frame has been aerodynamically optimized all the shifting and braking cables are neatly hidden inside the frame. Equipment is top notch as you would expect from a true racing bike. The Shimano Dura-Ace 7800 series groupset was the first ever to feature 10-speed shifting and it looks stunning even today. Notable is also the team issue large chainring. To allow for the low TT position the carbon fiber ITM Nivola cockpit has been mounted and equipped with bar-end shifters. The smooth turning Mavic Ksyrium SSC wheels fit fior a mountain time trial as well as a flat one, with their large aero spokes cutting through the air very nicely indeed.
If you want a cool bike with top equipment for your very fast rides, this race proven machine is just for you.
