Description
Umberto Scapin started building racing bicycles in 1957 in Piove di Sacco (Padua, northern Italy) and dedicated his whole life towards the production of high-end and refined steel frames. However not a mainstream brand, Scapin bicycles are nowadays really renowned amongst collectors worldwide.
Like most Italian frame builders, Scapin is committed to manufacturing not only durable and performing frames but also elegant and beautiful ones, adjectives which must accompany every Italian bicycle. And this Scapin in cromovelato is no exception.
Built with reliable Columbus tubes, this Scapin frame sticks out for its "cromovelato" paintwork. The tubes basically underwent a full chroming before getting painted with a very thin green coat which creates a very translucent effect.
This very elegant road bicycle is furthermore equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record shifting of which is in great condition.
If you are looking for a rare classic bicycle, this Scapin will not disappoint you! A bike to shine on.
