The Velo Orange Polyvalent Disc Randonneur (gen 4) is a beautifully designed, custom-built bicycle engineered for long-distance comfort, versatility, and style. Crafted with the discerning randonneur and touring cyclist in mind, this bike offers a perfect balance of classic aesthetics and modern performance.
Frame and Fork
The heart of this bike is the Velo Orange Polyvalent Disc frame and fork, made from durable, double-butted chromoly steel. This material provides exceptional strength while maintaining a comfortable, compliant ride on both paved roads and gravel paths. The frame is designed with a low-trail geometry, ensuring stable handling under load—ideal for front rack touring or commuting.
The bicycle is equipped with Velo Orange mudguards, dynamo hub light (shutter precision) with Busch & Müller front light. The bike was built in a classic randonneur style with down tube shifters by Simplex and classic brake levers by Dia Compe though it uses modern hydraulic disc brake calipers by Juin Tech R1 for outstanding braking power and control. The handbuilt wheels have Shimano XT hubs on 27.5 inch Dt Swiss rims.
All in all it is a very good looking and comfortable bicycle for life.
Condition
